Virgin Hotels has been a consumer champion from day one – deliberately disturbing hotel norms. They don’t charge extra for WiFi, the mini bar offers street level prices, and there are no disturbing hidden fees.
Look out because next week, the team will be hitting the streets of Dallas with giant ‘Do Disturb’ signs throughout the Design District. They may have a giant sheep in tow too.
Speaking of signs, Virgin Hotels has installed a 25-foot sign on the rooftop of Virgin Hotels Dallas – everything is bigger in Texas, right? The seven-ton aerial-view sign was assembled in three pieces atop the 16-floor hotel and stretches 40 feet wide. It illuminates the Design District skyline with red and white LED lights. Go big or go home!
Virgin Hotels Dallas is well and truly on a mission to stand out. They collaborated with local artist Drew Merritt to create a dreamlike mural on the walls of the hotel. Covering one side of the hotel, the mural is entiteld 'Amor Vincit Omnia', meaning 'love conquers all' in Latin. It features the image of a woman in a copper standard diving dress and can be seen from Market Center Boulevard.
Merritt told The Dallas Observer: “The idea is like an explorer with the diving helmets and the antique kind of copper... We were trying to figure out how to get that feel of like sort of floating through space or floating.”
The new Dallas build features 200 Chambers including Grand Chamber Suites, along with multiple dining and drinking outlets, including the flagship space, Commons Club, a rooftop terrace with a pool (woohoo!), gym and spa, plus plenty of meeting spaces.
Virgin Hotels Dallas is now accepting reservations for stays starting December 15th, 2019, on the Virgin Hotels website.
